We met at the Shoney's in Marietta for breakfast and "tech talk" and consultations with Ken Kogge. Next on the agenda was a top down cruise to the Swan House in Buckhead. The weather was cool and sunny or in other words absolutely perfect. After touring the mansion which was built by the Inman family ( Mr. Inman owned the first Cadillac in Ga. and was issued the first driver's license in Ga. even though he employed a full time driver.) It has recently undergone a $4 million dollar renovation and was really exquisite as were the grounds with gardens and fountains at the English and the Italian entrance,(photo of Allante at this entrance).
Next stop, "puttin on the Ritz". We had a couple of hours to rest in the lovely suite before meeting in the lounge area for cocktails. Dinner in the five star Dining Room with an eight course meal featuring complementing wines with each course. We were greeted by the world class chef Bruno Menard who gave us each an autographed copy of the evening's menu. The day was ended on a luxurious note with the inviting down comforter in the Egyptian cotton duvet and lots of pillows promising sweet dreams of another wonderful outing with our very special Allante group.
