We met for breakfast at the Piccadilly in Marietta. We were pleased that Jay Senoff, inventor of the windscreens for our convertibles joined us for breakfast. Our plans to visit the Kangaroo Center in Dawsonville did not work out as planned, so we cruised the mountain back roads to Amicalola Falls and Lodge. From there we went to downtown Dahlonega, which is always a treat. They have several new restaurants and shops. We ate lunch at the Corkscrew, a small delightful bistro that you would probably miss if you were not looking for it. The food was delicious and certain everyone will visit there again. While the ladies took in a few of the shops in spite of the heat, the guys slipped into the Ice Cream Parlor to keep cool.
It was a fun visit and many good ideas were discussed for future events.... Stay Tuned! See you in August for our annual meeting and Varsity Cruise.
