ALLANTE’ CAR CLUB MINUTES
The Allante’ Atlanta Car Club met for breakfast on November 19, 2005 at the Piccadilly Cafeteria in Marietta. After a delicious buffet breakfast, Norman Penfield, Predsident, called a business meeting to order.
Norman called on Ken Kogge to rweport on the Survey mailed to members and returned to Ken. One of the questions asked the members to rate the officers performance and a majority rated them as excellent. Suggestions were made for more tech meetings, more breakfast meetings and less extended travel events. Norman thanked Ken for handling the survey for the Club.
Norman explained that the annual election of officers had not taken place because there was not a quorum present at the September meeting. Doug Jackson made a motion that the present officers be retained for next year. The motion was seconded and approved by acclamation.
Norman called on Ken Kogge who presented an offer to the Allante’ Car Club to purchase Ken’s silver Allante’ ingots for $3442.50. He will accept $1,000, on or before December 19, 2005, with the balance to be paid in one year. If the Club agrees to the purchase, Ken will donate the casting dye and all casting rights at no additional charge. ( This is a $1400 value with art work and dye making.) After discussion of this offer by Club members, a motion was made by Wheaton Cave to defer the decision on this offer to the officers of the Club. A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the business meeting.
Ken Kogge then held a sale of all the Allante’ memorabilia he has collected over the years and a lively auction and sale was held. Included in the sale was Ken’s rare Mountain Laurel 1993 Allante’. It was very important to ken to sell this beautiful Allante’ to a fellow enthusiast and Club member. Bill Caldwell announced that he would buy Ken’s pink Cadillac Allante’ and put his beautiful red 1990.5 up for sale.
