We met for a traditional southern breakfast at Midway Family Restruant. After a long leisurely breakfast where we were joined by our 4 new members, we caravanned to Tallulah Falls Gorge for some photos. Our next stop was at Tiger Mountian Vineyards for wine tasting and more picture taking. Next stop was at the famous Dillard House for lunch and a look around there huge gift shop. The weather was absolutely perfect and everything was decorated for fall and many festivals were in progress. We cruised on to Highlands, North Carolina for a visit to some shops. Following a very scenic route with stops at Bridal Veil Falls and then to Dry Falls for a short hike and some more photo opportunities, we made it to our hotel in Franklin, N.C. An impromptu cocktail hour ensued at the hotel before going to dinner at the Owl and Frog in Franklin. It was an unexpected gourmet type restruant in such a small town.

  After breakfast on Sunday morning, some of us continued to caravan through Nantahala stopping to watch some die-hard rafters float down the river. It was a beautiful ride through the mountians even though the leaves have not started their color change as we had hoped. Another fun filled weekend for those cruisin’ Allante’ guys and gals.
