Coke Museum & Aquarium
We had a big turnout for our Piccadilly Breakfast meeting. A new member Norman Youngblood joined us. We had some special guests from CLC including President Stan Tucker and family. We had some discussion about the upcoming national event in Savannah which sounds very exciting despite the “hot weather warnings”.
After checking over everyone’s cars to see new toys, repairs, etc., we headed downtown to the Coca-Cola Museum. It is a two level building filled with memorabilia, fun facts, shows, and thematic rooms. Of course, the ever present gift shop is a must to exit.
After this tour, we walked to the CNN Center for long leisurely lunch at McCormick and Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant. They had some unusual menu items and everyone enjoyed the food and fellowship.
Our next stop was the Georgia Aquarium. It is a beautiful and fascinating place. From whales, sharks and otters to seahorses and anemones, there is something to educate and entertain at every turn.
It was a fun, entertaining and educational outing. We went home tired but a lot smarter! Hope to see everyone next month for the guys’ golfing and girls’ shopping/spa day.
