Allante Breakfast At Piccadilly Cafeteria
March 17th 2007
The monthly breakfast at Piccadilly Cafeteria afforded everyone an opportunity to share different experiences, products and ideas relating to their Allante’s past and present. We also welcomed a new member, Trell Norton who has a 91’ red Allante.
Norman shared his new cleaning secret, Clay Magic and Rejex. Claying removes small particles from the paint finish even after you think the car is really clean from washing. Rejex is a polymer coating to be used instead of wax that you use after claying.
Paula and Russell brought a product, which will be posted on the website’s Tech Corner soon, for treating rubber. This is especially important for the weather stripping around windows and doors as it is no longer available for the allante. Jim and Marion Gist brought flyers describing a special wax that is used by NASCAR.
There was a wide range of topics from tires to recommendations of places to get cars painted, repaired, diagnostics, etc. And places to avoid. You can’t take an Allante to just any repair shop or dealership. Do your research and homework to make sure you are going to a place with specific knowledge of your special car!
