On July 13, 14, and 15, 1997, the Allante Atlanta Car Club held a Grand National Meet. With 92 cars in attendance, it is the largest Allante Meet ever held. Kenneth Kogge was the event chairman. The event featured the first tech session at a National Meet. There were 3 tech sessions:
1. Allante History - Alan Hass - Sr. Vice President of Cadillac
2. Tires and Suspension - Greg Paul - S/E Regional Director of Vogue Tire Company
3. Electrical Systems - Adolph Moncivaiv - Certified Cadillac Technician
The event was also the first Allante National to have three types of judging for the Car Show:
1. Concourse - Expert panel judged the cars on accurate compliance to factory specs
2. Street Appeal - A univeral panle judged the cars on curb appeal
3. Peoples Choice - Every registered guest voted for best of each year and one best of show
Other activities included a Poker Run, A Vendor Arena, a Swap and Sell tent, Three Atlanta attraction tours and a Grand Banquet and dance.
