ALLANTE’ TECH SESSION
Wow, what an awesome day! We met at a new place in Buford, Ga. for breakfast. What a buffet that was, everything you can imagine in breakfast food including pizza topped with bacon and eggs plus desserts! After this feast, we caravanned to Doug and Anna May Jackson’s house.
It was a beautiful sight to see such an array of Allantes in their driveway and around the cul-de-sac. Throughout the day we had a total of 15 cars join us. After we toured the Jacksons’ beautiful home and grounds, Doug started the tech session in his immaculately clean and organized garage. He covered a wide variety of topics and answered specific questions from the owners.
At the lunch break, Doug showed us his unbelievable train collection. You really have to see it to appreciate it. There is so much detail in buildings, cars, roads, railroads and trains that you could stay for hours and still not see it all. The walls are painted with murals that add a dimension giving you the feeling that you are viewing a real miniature world with a very thriving railroad system.
Doug and Anna May then treated us to a luscious BBQ lunch before heading back to the garage for the afternoon session with a lot of hands on demonstrations.
Tech session- cost of gas to get there.
Allante’- a few thousand dollars
Fun and fellowship with this group- PRICELESS!
Not to mention that we were blessed with beautiful weather! What more could you ask for in a Allante’ Fall outing.
