The Allante Club met at Piccadilly Cafeteria for breakfast and our annual business meeting. Following the meeting, we set out for a trip to Historic Stone mountian. It was a beautiful sunny day and we beat the crowds for every venue. We took a train ride around the mountian with old time train music and tales of the railroad. following the train ride, we visited the grist mill and glass shop to find some real treasures. Next, we took the tram to the top of the mountian. It was a bit hazy but still beautiful views of Atlanta and surrounding area, as well as the lake with the riverboat. The crowds were increasing so we went for a late lunch at the Commons. The menu featured some real gourmet treats. It was hard to decide but we all chose something delicious. Bringing the day to a close, we traveled home reflecting on a full “top down” thumbs up day!
