ALLANTE TECH SESSION

In spite of the rainy weather, a large group of us met at the Golden Corral for breakfast before going to Doug and Anna May Jackson’s for this year’s tech session. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts Bill and Judy Buschmann were not able to join us as planned. Russell and Paula were not able to be with us because Russell’s mother passed away. We extend our sympathy to Russell and Paula.
Doug did a presentation inside his immaculate garage addressing the questions that were submitted earlier by members. He discussed maintenance tips and scheduling of maintenance for different parts of the car. He related some updates from Dick Hussey on current common issues. When the rain stopped, we were able to go outside for some hands on demonstrations.
Doug and Anna May treated us to a fabulous BBQ lunch with all the trimmings and yummy dessert choices. After lunch, we visited the train room for a demonstration of Doug’s phenomenal railroad and trains. It was an informative and delightful way to spend a rainy Saturday.
